Total awesomeness

I have some super exciting news to share with all of you other fellow Utahns.....we now have a PAPER SOURCE!!!! I first came across this place paperlovershaven while living in Chicago and it truly was love at first sight. The pens, the stickers, the ribbon, the letterpress stationery and greeting cards, all pure bliss for a stationery hoarder such as myself.  

Let me just try to reenact my expression, thrill, uncontrollable giddyness when I first laid eyes on the one here. In Utah. At Fashion Place Mall.

Family and I walking up to Red Rock restaurant.....

Me: "Is that a Paper Source store?"

Me: "Oh my it is."

Benjamin: "What's Paper Source?"

Me: "Mommy's happy place" (said as my jaw dropped to the ground).

Bart: "Oh no....."

Me: "It is! It is! Finally we have a PAPER SOUUUUUURRRRCCCCCEEEEE!!!!!!! (strangers now beginning to stare at the preg-o lady yelling uncontrollably in the parking lot).

Me: "K, I have to go now. Bye guys!"

Bart: "Kate, your mom got us all a table and is waiting for us inside the restaurant...."

Me: "I know, but Barrrrrt!!!!! (tummy beginning to rumble from hunger).

My Dad (always the voice of reason): "Kate, I'm sure it will still be open after we finish dinner."

Me: "Ok...." (long stare before I slowly step away from its beautiful glass windows).

Thankfully, yes, it was still open after dinner and my wonderful family waited patiently while I drooled and petted (just ask my sister, I do this in the Crate & Barrel store too) everything in sight.

And of course, I came away with pretty some cool finds too.... 

 

         

Needless to say, it was a fun day for me....not so much for the wallet. :) Oops.

Every one needs to splurge every once in awhile, right?

My excuse is that I don't get out very often.

On a practical note, here's all of the many uses I've already found for that designer duct tape....(you'll have to excuse the cell phone quality pics but sometimes the whole act of taking out the memory card and uploading quality photos is just too much for me).

Fancying up some otherwise boring packages to be mailed.

Labeling toys in our playroom. It reads: "Planes, Trains & Automobiles."

Fixing my son's headphones.

As for the rest of my items, I'm sure they'll all come in extremely handy as well. ;)
