I love reading! I especially love that I have time in my life again to devote to recreational reading. I think it's such a healthy way to let your mind explore to other places and try to predict what you think the characters will do. The book that I just finished was another mystery novel by Agatha Christie. She's an oldie but goodie as the way she writes is so luring and addictive! I still have her last characters floating around my head, and my dreams....no wonder readers encourage authors to write so many sequels!
Now I know I'm a year late on this book (see image), but I had a baby this time last year when it came out! I really enjoyed Angels & Demons and Da Vinci Code (the movie not so much...), so it's about time I got to Dan Brown's latest: The Lost Symbol.
Since I'm still going through a bit of withdrawal from finishing up my last really good book, I sense a bit of procrastination from me to break open another. You know how that is when the last book you read was so good that you don't want it to end...then when it does you wonder if you'll ever read another book that good again? Then you think of the time and work it takes to invest your brain power and energy into another, and phew, it's like your back in school again being forced to read so you don't fail the class.
So- to help me get on the fun board with this next one (it's hefty I know, but all Brown's books that I've read are quick page turners!), I thought I'd throw it out there to see if there's any body else who hasn't read it and would like to start to read it along with me? A sort of blogger book club if you will. I've heard from others that it's good, and I'm pretty sure you don't have to have read any of Brown's others to follow this one. So, if you're looking for something to delve your brain into, let me know; I'd love to discuss The Lost Symbol with you.
I would love to read this with you! How did I miss this post? LOL I will see if my mom can check it out at the library for me. If not, I will get it! :)
