Once you have one....

you'll never go back. Yeah, they're that good. I was never a huge potato chip junkie until last summer (maybe due to being preg-o?), but recently have become a big fan of the KRINKLE CUT SALT & FRESH GROUND PEPPER. I've tried other flavors, and they're all good though! I think it's their ALL NATURAL ingredients and NO trans fat or preservatives. Don't let the imposters out there fool you....Lays does a flavor that says KETTLE, but you'll know the real deal when you see them (usually found in the organic section of grocery stores) because KETTLE is the brand, and they're more expensive- but well worth it!

Another must share snack food favorite of mine is KOOKABURA licorce. Ummmm. They're like having 5 Twizzlers in one. They're still soft and chewy, just more flavorful than Red Vines, which was my former favorite. Again, a bit more pricey, but totally worth it!

While it's good to have a little treat every now and again, I do consider myself pretty health conscious about what I eat. I've also always had a good metabolism, and ENJOY exercising (yes- yoga counts as exercise!), but one thing that no one ever told me is the FREE FOR ALL that breastfeeding gives you to eat a baking sheet full of toffee, Gossners pure cream ice cream and cheeses, a Sams Club size of M&M's, and bags of licorce LOTS and not gain a pound!  Seriously, THAT is one of the BEST surprises that I learned post-pregnancy, so THANK YOU MOTHER NATURE!

Now, does anybody want to admit to knowing the KOOKABURA song? Bart taught it to me!

  1. I love the Salt and Vinegar Kettle Chips, I can eat a whole bag in one sitting if I am not careful! I'll have to try that licorice once I am back stateside, I LOVE red licorice (Red Vines, not the nasty Twizzlers)! I am not too proud to admit it, but yes, I too know the Kookabura song. I learned it from watching The Wiggles when Ethan was a youngster. Oh the joy! Luckily The Wiggles aren't big anymore, they are almost as excruciating as Barney (which Lainey LOVES).

  2. I've never tasted the Salt and Vinegar Chips and I would have bet money that you had never tasted them much less would ever promote promote Kettle chips...so since you are...that means they must taste great. I'm going to stop betting my money and start spending it on Kettle chips instead! I too know the Kookabura song. I learned it a long long long time ago (when you get to be old you get to start saying that). We used to sing it as a round and it was fun to hear all the words jumble around - nice memories.

  3. I'm so glad you introduced me to Kookaburra (had to call 10 grocery stores in Salt Lake to find it though) and Bart singing the song makes my day! I still have yet to learn it myself. The two of you will have to teach me when I make my next visit to Logan. I Haven't ever tried the Kettle chips, but I'll have to keep my eyes open for them during my next trip to the grocery store and give them a try.
