Design Details

I am in LOVE with these monogram pillows by Jonathan Adler. I spotted them on an episode of Guiliana & Bill (yes, as I've admitted before, I watch really bad t.v.), and then came across them again at style.com while doing some online shopping browsing. If you go to www.jonathanadler.com you can design your own (which I had a lot of fun with!) but do find their pricetag of $98 a piece pretty pricey!!! I'm also liking the simplicity of his geometric rugs (see below).

Speaking of simplicity, I've been pondering the look/feel of my blog lately. I know I could download a different template (seems to be the THING to do) but every time I've tried a different one out, I keep going back to the polka dots. Yes, I know they're a bit busy, but seeing them makes me happy. So, for the past couple of weeks I've been playing around with font, and color selections. Blogspot and I must be on the same wavelength because of how they just recently redesigned their post options, now offering this new font: Helvetica, which I'm liking. I tried to re-do the rest of my text to match, but it doesn't seem to be offered in those other areas, plus I'm not sure if I'm ready to give up the classic and safe feel of Times New Roman quite yet. My only complaint is that I don't know where spell check went?!

I also spent some time today cleaning up "My Favorite Things" now "K's Favorite Things." It was a bit messy before, so hopefully now that it has some order with it being alphabetized helps. It's those little details that can make all the difference!

  1. I LOVE your polka dots and the colors of Olivine, Chelsea Cucumber, Finlandia, Golden Poppy and Hunter Green are perfect! I used http://www.colblindor.com/color-name-hue/ to help identify the colors - an interesting experience in itself. Who has time to be that exacting with color? But then when we realize how color affects people's mood, your appearance and your buying decisions you really start to pay attention to the importance of color!
