Drama on PR

*Spoiler Alert from last night's (Sept. 2nd) episode!*

My oh my has this season been filled with more behind-the-back-talking than any other season I can remember! I am still getting over Gretchen's bossy overhaul of the team challenge last week, and now this beat-up on Michael C. thing keeps going further!

I think everyone picks out his flaws (we all have some) to make themselves feel better in this incredible stressful situation, because I really don't think any of his stuff has looked as bad as they all describe his  sewing skills to produce. Now, if he were using a staple gun that would be a different story, but however he does it, he pulls it off wins challenges, so lay off people and have enough tact not to talk about people while they're still a part of the competition.

As for Peach- I liked her. I could tell every one else did too, but she really had been getting away with A LOT ever since that Barbie-pink houndstooth number.

As for April- wow, can you believe we finally got to see her hair? This girl was becoming queen of the raggedy bun....not so good with her bleached blonde hair and light coloring.

Mondo reminds me of a Now & Later. Remember that candy? He always seems to use that bright 80's color pallet while pulling in styles that are now, with something a bit futuristic.

Valerie was a major disappointment this week. She's bold, but is bordering on the look of poor quality and unflattering fits.

I still like Christopher Collins (he's been playing it very safe) but now would like for Michael C. to keep going just to put every body else back in their place.

Ok, that's it for now. Instead of the motto: "It's cut, or be cut" it should be "Design and keep your feelings to yourself!"

  1. Thanks for your thorough commentary! The only names I know are Gretchen, Peach and Michael so I'll have to pay more attention just to keep up with you. I too think it is unusual that the producers are encouraging this designer group to be more devisive. I think they're just trying to ratchet up the drama - and I'd rather have the focus remain on the design challenges which gives them a chance to showcase their talents. I like the show because it encourages all of us to make sense out of something that seems hopeless. The current type of un-needed drama isn't inspirational at all and certainly lends an over powering tone of negativity. Hope they switch the focus back to innovative design soon!
