We went to the Paradise Valley Orchard yesterday and had a blast of a time (don't worry about what their blog says about being sold out of apples, they still have A LOT to pick from). The place is super cute, and has free wagons for you to tote around your lil' tot (or apples, squash, and pumpkins) in which Benjamin surprisingly stayed in the ENTIRE time!
Below are pics of the 5.5 lbs. of apples (minus 4-5 I gave to Bart to share with his fellow co-workers). They are a mix of Golden Delicious, Jonathan, and I can't remember what else...for $1.25/lb. We also picked a pumpkin for only $2 (that's their price no matter the size). It was so much fun to feel the freedom of picking fresh produce in the open air...made me want to live on a farm (for just a second).
This weekend is FALL BREAK at USU, which means my hubby is off from school tomorrow and was able to take the day off from work too! Yippeee for a 3-day weekend. Hope you all enjoy a good one too.
Sounds like a great place! Enjoy your 3 day weekend!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE going out to the orchards for apples and pumpkins. I don't think there is anything better than fresh hot apple cider.
